The analysis behind the broadcast

Baseball research built to be understood

The SABRhood translates pitch-by-pitch data, statistical models, and baseball history into reporting that fans can enjoy and broadcasters can use.

The mission

Baseball analytics are most valuable when they sharpen the story of a game. The SABRhood combines reproducible R workflows with a journalist’s eye: identify the signal, test it, put it in context, and explain why it matters.

The public site is an MLB data and reporting hub. The broader project also supports custom broadcast research, game-day packets, internal analytics tools, and future subscriber products.
